Our process & methodology

The Roadmap To Recovery: Your peace of mind is our priority.

How We Help Homeowners Succeed

Our approach to claims is simple: you come first. Whether your home has been affected by fire, water damage, storm damage, or other unexpected events, we handle the insurance details so you can focus on restoring your home and peace of mind. From initial assessment to final settlement, Lion Public Adjusting is with you every step of the way, advocating tirelessly for the best possible outcome.

1. Scope first

Lion Public Adjusting drafts an estimate to illustrate the scope of damage, supported by our comprehensive documentation of your loss. Our scope estimate provides our clients a competitive advantage against their insurance companies. We use the latest technology and science to draft estimates with industry standard estimating software.

2. price the scope

Once an agreement of the scope has been reached with your insurer, Lion PA will help you compile bids from local and reputable contractors in your area. Those contractors then provide bids for their own pricing.  Lion PA submits those estimates with supporting documentation and a letter of demand for review by the carrier.

3. Comparative Bid

Most insurance companies will argue that their adjusters' estimates are sufficient and refuse the pricing from your contractor. Lion argues that insurance company adjusters cannot refute general contractors’ pricing without providing opinions from a 3rd party vendor that has equal or greater licensing to your contractor’s bid. This forces insurers to accept pricing from general contractors in your area. For most claims, this is the last chapter of your loss.

4. Start Repairs

The settlement from your insurer does not implicate your agreement that this is all you are entitled to. A scope of repairs should be agreed upon and a supplemental payment should have been issued in consideration of the comparative bid process. There may be more to argue but you are obligated to show forward progress. If you choose to wait for a larger settlement, delaying repairs may impact your additional living expenses.
